Volunteer Sarasota
Welcome to the Volunteer Sarasota
County Web site. This is where your journey of giving back to
the Sarasota County community begins. Along the way, don’t be
surprised if you find that you are getting as much satisfaction
out of your volunteer experience as you are putting in! Most
people think volunteering means cleaning up a beach or a park,
but it can be so much more than that. Volunteer opportunities
are available in neighborhoods, environmental services,
extension services, libraries, parks, the history center and the
health department. You’ll meet new people, see old friends, and
learn new skills all at the same time and all while having great
fun!
Become part of the Sarasota County Volunteer team today; you can
get started by clicking the button and then choosing to
become a Regular Volunteer (you can volunteer in a variety of
activities and events) If it is your first time using the system,
you will need to establish an account. This takes just a few minutes
and your contact and personal information is kept strictly confidential.
Teenage volunteers need to obtain a parental consent release signature
before they start volunteering. The parental consent release form is
obtained from the Volunteer Coordinator at the site selected.
If you have any questions you can contact the Sarasota County
Call Center at 941-861-5000 and ask for the Volunteer
Coordinator. Thanks for giving back to your community and we
look forward to welcoming you to the Volunteer Sarasota County
team! |
