Turtle Beach Campground: A Florida original
Turtle Beach Campground, formerly known as Gulf Beach Travel Trailer Park, is now a part of Sarasota County’s Turtle Beach Park.

From sunrise to sunset, there’s nothing quite like the experience of camping on a Florida beach. Turtle Beach Campground, located on Siesta Key, offers one of the few remaining opportunities to park a recreational vehicle (RV) or pitch a tent near the Gulf of Mexico and wake up the next morning under the Florida sun.

Purchased by Sarasota County in 2006, Turtle Beach Campground features 40 sites for camping, with areas for both RVs and tents. Electricity and cable TV hookups are available.

Popular activities include relaxing on the beach, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and browsing through a variety of shops. Some of the finest restaurants on Florida’s Gulf Coast are within walking distance or just a short drive away.

Turtle Beach Park: Sun and fun for everyone
Turtle Beach is named for its abundant sea turtle nests. This 14-acre park includes:

  • Free Wi-Fi at the Campground
  • 2,600 linear feet of beach frontage
  • boat ramps
  • canoe / kayak launch area
  • fishing
  • horseshoe pits
  • parking area
  • picnic shelters
  • grills
  • playground
  • restrooms
  • swimming
  • volleyball court
