The Development
Revie Committee (DRC) meetings are held at
1301 Cattlemen Road, Building D, Large A/B Conference Room
on the first and third Thursdays of the each month as needed.

Development
Land Development Services is responsible for
reviews and inspections for all horizontal construction (roads,
sidewalks, water and sewer, and stormwater systems) relating to
new development in Sarasota County.
Land
Development Inspections
Land
Development Inspectors provide inspections for all permitted
projects for both commercial and residential development for
horizontal construction. These inspections include paving,
grading, drainage, signage, stripping and landscaping. All new
construction within the right-of-way requires a permit and a
maintenance of traffic plan, and will be inspected as required.
Land
Development Survey-Mapping
Survey-Mapping serves as a repository for various maps and data
such as: ½ section maps, plats, condominium books, road plat
books, benchmarks, section corners, aerials and historical
survey data. The public is welcome to review this data along
with private engineering, surveying and natural resource firms.
Survey-Mapping supports all Sarasota County Business Centers by
providing internal field survey support and review of survey
data prepared by consultants.
