What is Snook Haven Park?
Snook Haven Park is a 2.5 acre parcel in Venice located on
the wild and scenic Myakka River. Sarasota County acquired Snook
Haven Park in 2006 to increase public access to the waterfront.
The property consists of a two-story single family home, five
cottages, a restaurant, entertainment stage area, and boat and
kayak launching facilities.
Snook Haven has been historically known as an old fish camp.
Today, the park is popular for shoreline fishing, kayak and
canoe rentals and its riverfront restaurant known for live
entertainment and old Florida charm.
Where is Snook Haven Park located?
Can I launch my boat or kayak at Snook Haven?
Yes, there is a $5 launch fee for boats or kayaks if they come
by trailer to the Park.
Note: Launching is restricted at the boat ramp on
Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Call 941-485-7221 for
