Cooper Creek Trail
2500 Honore Ave., Sarasota.
A 600-acre park that features ADA accessible trail, boardwalk, pavilion, fishing pier, boat ramp, and restrooms. This unique freshwater lake offers a habitat for diverse types of wildlife. Only electric trolling motors are allowed (internal combustion engines
are prohibited).

ROUTE
This is a freshwater lake located along the west side of I-75 north of Fruitville Road. The lake is approximately 500 acres and has no connection to other paddling trails.

NAVIGATIONAL NOTES
This lake is great for novice to intermediate paddlers and provides opportunities for fishing and bird watching.

LAUNCH POINT

Nathan Benderson Park Boat Ramp
From I-75, take exit 213, go west on University Parkway. Turn left (south) at N. Honore Ave. The access road to the park is approximately 1.5 miles on the right.
