Sarasota County has launched a new online site for public access
to email between County Commissioners and between the County Administrator and
Commissioners. A link to the site is posted on the Sarasota County government
home page at
www.scgov.net.
The new site significantly improves public access to emails
and makes it possible for the public to search by topic, individuals and date.
Emails also contain links to show attachments
- Emails will be listed on the site if they were sent after
8 a.m. today. The site normally will show 60 days’ of email. The new site
doesn’t require a username or password.
Email sent prior to today still may be found at the previous
public access email location,
https://webmail.scgov.net. The username is
“publicaccess,” and the password is “public.”
- Email older than that will be available through public
record requests. The previous public access site won’t be available after
March 31.
The new email website also contains links for:
- Commissioner email (Effective Feb. 1)
- Public Access email (Effective until March 31)
- Public Information
- Public Records Request
- Speaker’s Bureau
- Meetings and agendas
- County Administration
- County Attorney
- Community Connections E-news
