Veteran Services
County Veteran Services unit provides assistance to veterans and their families with filing claims for veterans benefits. Benefits include:
  • compensation for service related disabilities
  • medical benefits
  • pension for wartime veterans with non service related disabilities
  • survivor benefits
  • death benefits

The unit also provides county assistance for burials of unclaimed bodies and indigent emergency hospital care.
