| We are in Sarasota County
because we choose to be. We know we cannot afford to take for
granted any of the qualities that we find so attractive here.
Continuous, concerted efforts are necessary to keep our water
safe and clean, to dispose of our waste properly and to protect
our lands for enjoyment by people and as welcoming wildlife
habitat for our furry, finned and feathered friends.
Safeguarding the environment to
ensure the current and future health and quality of life for all
our residents is of vital importance. Our efforts in that regard
are concentrated in three distinct, but interrelated areas:
Natural Resources, Solid Waste and Water.
Government has regulatory
responsibility for many of these functions, but you can help,
too. Please, help us keep our waterways free of pollution; our
roads, beaches and byways free of litter; and our natural areas
a source of enjoyment for generations to come.
Our mission at Environmental
Services is to protect, conserve, and enhance our natural
resources by blending the needs of today with a vision for
tomorrow.
