Elevation certificates are
required for all buildings in designated flood-prone areas of
the county and have been retained by the Building Official since
1985 and may be an important document in negotiating flood
insurance premiums or identifying your flood risk.
In addition, the county also collects this type of documentation
as a component of justification for stormwater capital
improvement projects and/or other flood mitigation projects.
