Three permanent household
collection centers are available to accept household hazardous wastes
(Sarasota County residents only). No business waste is accepted.

NOTE: The lone
collection center that accepts household hazardous wastes on
Monday and Tuesday is the Central County Facility at 4010 Knights Trail Road in Nokomis.
Below are the
three chemical collection sites and their operating hours.
North Sarasota County Chemical Collection Center 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota
The Bee Ridge facility
(Rothenbach Park) features a
ReUzIt Shop which provides reusable materials that have
been disposed off at the three County Chemical Collection Centers.
These materials are free of charge. Recycle
bins and sharps containers are also available at this location.
The ReUzIt shop hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Central Sarasota County
Central County Solid Waste Landfill Facility (Central
County landfill)
