Three permanent household
collection centers accept household hazardous waste from
Sarasota County residents only. No business waste is accepted.
Businesses should call 941-861-5000 for disposal
information.
NOTE: The only location that will
accept household hazardous waste on Monday and Tuesday is the
central county facility at 4010 Knights Trail Road in Nokomis.
Below are the
three chemical collection sites and operating hours.
North Sarasota County Chemical Collection Center 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota
The Bee Ridge facility features a
ReUzIt Shop, open Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. (closed
11 a.m. - noon for lunch), which handles products that are
dropped off at the county's chemical collection centers, but are
still usable. Residents and businesses can obtain free household
chemicals and recycled paint for a nominal fee. Recycle
bins are also available at this location.

Central Sarasota County
Central County Solid Waste Landfill Facility (Central

Copiers must be taken to the Bee
Ridge Road center. A fee will be charged for disposal. |
