The approximately 5-acre site consists of two residential lot parcels. One has a house circa 1950 and the other is a vacant lot. Habitat includes coastal hammock, mangroves along the Sarasota Bay shoreline, a cleared area, and oyster and seagrass beds offshore.

Importance
Protection of this land would provide mature mangrove habitat along 600’ of bay front. The site also contains a state documented shell midden with evidence of prehistoric habitation. High species diversity exists, including mollusk, invertebrate, fish and bird species.

Status
The Board of County Commissioners approved these parcels as a Protection Priority Site in May 2004. Various land protection options may be used for protection.
