This 24-acre site is located on the south end of Manasota Key and consists of tropical hardwood hammock, beach, dune and mangrove communities.

Importance
Tropical hardwood hammock habitat has been almost eliminated within Sarasota County. The tract contains several endangered plant species, including the prickly apple cactus.
