Sarasota County's
natural spaces are a lot easier to find and enjoy, thanks to
a publication produced through a partnership between the
county, The Nature Conservancy and the Sarasota Convention and
Visitors Bureau.
The 12-page guide is a full-color, comprehensive listing of
public lands in Sarasota County that is available to local
citizens and visitors. It contains detailed information on
parks, open spaces and recreational outlets, including
amenities, operating hours and admission fees.
Filled with local photography, the book also contains helpful
sections on where to find native birds and wildlife, and is
peppered with tips for enjoying Southwest Florida's natural
environment and its sea turtle, alligator mating and hurricane
seasons. It also includes an overview of public lands that will
be available in the near future.
Discover Natural Sarasota County is available free of
charge throughout Sarasota County, including at all public
libraries, the Sarasota Association of Realtors, the Sarasota
Visitors Center, local chamber of commerce and city halls,
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, Whole Foods, local
