| Through a Specific Operating Agreement (SOA)
with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP),
Air Quality/Storage Tank Management (AQ/STM) has received air
pollution permitting delegation.
Staff review applications for which authority
has been delegated. Staff then determines whether a source is
exempt from permitting, issued a permit, or denied a permit.
Technical reviews and permits are drafted and
issued by AQ/STM. AQ/STM does not issue Title V General permits.
AQ/STM inspects all permitted facilities, whether DEP or AQ/STM
permits, for compliance once per year.
